Alan Hull post mortem examination determined that his heart attack had been caused by coronary artery thrombosis. During the ceremony on board of the boat 'The Pride of the Tyne', only with just close friends and members of Lindisfarne, his ashes were scattered on the river Tyne near North Shields where the band was founded about 25 years before.
