Since Lindisfarne's final split in 2003, Ray has worked for Tyne Tees TV in Newcastle as freelance producer and coordinator. He still plays drums with The Billy Mitchell Band and is a full-time member of The Peter Donegan Band (son of Lonnie Donegan).
